Adopt a duck – change a life! There’s nothing quite as joyful as watching hundreds of rubber ducks launch into a river and race to the finish. Adopting a duck in the race is an easy way to show support for our community of individuals on the autism spectrum and their families. (And you can win some fantastic prizes too!)
For the 2019 Duck Derby, we partnered with the Adirondack Aquatic Center to host a Guinness World Record Attempt at the Duck Derby, for “Largest Gathering of People Wearing Swim Caps.” Adirondack Aquatic Center will be the premier facility of its kind in the Northeast, with 80,000 square-feet and four pools with round-the-clock programmable space. Facilities like this are imperative for learn-to-swim programs, which are vital for those diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders.
